HOW WE WORK

Matt often creates design drawings for clients freehand, with a clear eye for the potential in a space. On larger and more complex projects, he works with independent landscape architects and designers.

Qualified in both horticulture and garden design, we work closely with our customers, considering how the desgn will fit with the building(s) and the surrounding environment. We are very experienced in selecting materials and plants for their longevity and sustainability.

All our timber is either reclaimed or FSC-approved and we always use natural stone.

The designs can include planting schemes. These take into consideration the maintenance levels required, the aspect of the property and desired colour scheme.

Further drawings can be done to help clients to visualise how the garden will look from different angles. Plant maintenance advice can also be provided if required.

With a passion for excellence and careful attention to detail, our landscape design work ranges from the classical to the contemporary.

We pride ourselves on working closely with our clients to produce unique schemes, bringing a fresh and individual approach to each and every garden design project. We also thrive on opportunities to work in partnership with other professionals to deliver integrated, cohesive solutions.

The Outside Works is large enough to handle complex long-term projects as well as smaller, simpler ones, and remains a small enough company to maintain a very personal approach.
